A Simple PIC88 based APRS TNC:

MX614 Modem
2. Send & Received APRS data to COM
port.

Mode" and Packet/APRS with Version 1.09 firmware by Dennis/N5VRP
4. USB: CH360G USB to Serial chip
is used to create Virtual COM port

Project Details:
Mini-TNC is a PIC88 based TNC which decode aprs
packets & route to COM port. Mini-TNC is powered by USB.
A CH340G is used as USB to Serial converter to obtain TTL Level TX/RX
lines for PIC16F88. CH340G Creates a virtual COM Port.
This TNC has Screw Terminals for outside
communications, i.e. RX/TX/GROUND/PTT
Project
is
designed
on 11cm X 6.5cm Double
Sided PTH
board and
results
were very
encouraging.
PIC16F88 Firmware for Mini-TNC is available at 4800
& 9600baud and its at V1.09 provided by Dennis/N5VRP. Please
refer to N5VRP Document for more details on new firmware compatibility.
