Project "Infinity" Concept:

Project "INFINITY" Graphic CPU is developed keeping in mind the purpose that we use same CPU/LCD/Hardware for various Purposes or Projects.

Concept is very useful and money saving for most homebrewers as RF measurement is not  a daily requirement!!

With this, we build only one Graphic CPU and then add an add-on module, either analog or I2C type, load new firmware that Tony/I2TZK makes for Amateur Radio Community, and we are ready with new RF Test Equipment for our station. 

PC Software & PIC Firmware developed by Tony/I2TZK for Graphic CPU hardware are designed to achieve following tasks:  

Simple single Micro Controller with PIC18F4550
 
Graphic CPU is all that a Ham Station may invest in. Present and future Add-Ons will keep it expanded
 
Graphic CPU hardware details:
 
128 x 64 Graphic LCD with Back light control  
 
Stable Reference voltage.
 
D9 Connector for Analog and I2C Interface
 
LCD Backlight Control  
 
LCD Contrast Preset
 
DC12V (standalone) or USB Operation 
 
Expansion slot for relays and alarms (FRC16)
 
4 Analog and I2C for Project add-on (D9)
 
I2C and 8 Relay Outputs at FRC16 Extension
  
8 DIP Switches for CPU Config
 
Works with or without a PC.
   

Graphic CPU is also a powerful development board for those who wish to write their own PIC Firmware

Graphic CPU has One front panel push button, an encoder with push button and LCD backlight dimmer control. Also has FRC16 type expansion socket and 8 X DIP switches for CPU configuration.

Right hand side of the board has a D9F connector for add-on module interface and USB+DC12V sockets.

 Understanding GCPU-0613 usage:
 
GCPU-0613 Kit without any add-on module is available to developers who wish to design their own add-on and develop PIC firmware. 
An Expansion board with I2C Interface and 8 Relays is now available for Grpahic CPU
Normally, GCPU requires an add-on module to operate with a suitable PIC Firmware loaded into PIC18F4550. 

Firmware and PC Software (if developed) for GCPU are available on  add-on module Project web pages such as: PM4, SWM4, AAZ-0713
